I am also a Co-Active Professional Certified Coach (CPCC) and an Organization and Relationship Systems Coach (ORSC), I’ve been working with executives and organizations for 25 years empowering others reach their personal and professional goals.
AROMAKOLOGY allows me to integrate my love of scent, my reverence for nature and my delight in the power of essential oils with my background coaching hundreds of clients.
My unique background helps me design scent formulas to tap into the neuro pathways, memories and association that cultivate the feelings, experiences they desire. It’s a true honor to work with these wonderful and wise plant allies to create Scents with a Purpose that sow seeds of joy and pleasure.
I believe each person has innate wisdom for guiding their individual journey, and the primal power of our sense of smell can be a key ally for stimulating imagination, inspiration, and opening portals of possibility.
Sometimes just knowing what we’d like to do or experience, or what we want to change, isn’t enough. Pushing, forcing, guilting ourselves isn’t a sustainable source of motivation. Enter our sense of smell: our secret weapon and powerful ally.
Our sense of smell is connected to our limbic system where pleasure, emotion, mood and motivation are stimulated. And with essential oils, nature has given us incredible healing allies for living with more vitality and joy. What if change could be harnessed through the pleasure and power of scent? It can.
When I was in my late 20’s, I hosted “smell parties” at my apartment. It was amazing to witness the awakening of people’s childlike nature, creativity and downright delight. People spontaneously told stories, shared secret longings and revealed a self that wanted greater expression. And their personal scents were designed to evoke a specific memory or emotion, or identity they wanted to embody.
I loved witnessing the sweet exploration and camaraderie. And everyone saying, “Oh my god, smell this!”.
Why I Created AROMAKOLOGY
This simple act of bringing people together around scent created a surprisingly fun and uniquely intimate experience. And this memory stayed with me like a seed planted in deep soil, waiting for the conditions to be right to sprout.
In 2024 I did The Artist’s Way by Julie Cameron with a friend. When I was playing with essential oils on one of my Artist’s Date, the memory of those smell parties took hold, and took root. The essential oils beckoned me. They awakened a longing to recreate these experiences for myself and others, and motivated me to share the amazing gift of natural botanical scent. AROMAKOLOGY was born.
